Our handmade soaps from The Soap House are made with natural ingredients, standing out for their soft texture and balanced fragrances that are gentle on the skin. Furthermore, they support local production on the islands and help reduce waste and emissions, offering an authentic and responsible sensory experience. If you fall in love with any of them, you can purchase them at reception and take home a useful, well-made souvenir.

We have also eliminated plastic from our everyday toiletries bag with our dental kit, presented in kraft cardboard packaging printed with soy-based inks and certified by the FSC, which guarantees that the paper comes from responsibly managed forests. Inside, you’ll find a toothbrush made from PSM, a biodegradable material based on starch and other components which, under controlled composting conditions — such as temperature, humidity and oxygenation — breaks down properly, reintegrating into the soil. If your local council does not offer a composting service, you can return the kit to reception and we’ll ensure it’s disposed of responsibly.

The rest of our biodegradable amenities follow the same principle: formulas and packaging with the smallest possible footprint, without compromising on four-star comfort. For example, wooden combs reduce plastic use, whilst shower caps are designed to offer functionality without compromising sustainability. We are not seeking a superficial ‘eco’ aesthetic, but rather sustainability that is easy to use, consistent with the city and the heritage that surrounds us.
